About Trace Policy Limits
A research service for personal injury attorneys and their staff. We find and report the insurance coverage behind a defendant so a case can be evaluated on facts rather than guesses.
Why we do this
In most injury cases, the first honest question is "how much coverage is there?" Firms often cannot get a clear answer until suit is filed and discovery starts. We exist to shorten that wait.
How we work
- We say what we found and what we didn't. A partial result is reported as partial. A search that finds nothing says so.
- We do not overstate. Our reports are research. They do not replace a carrier's written disclosure, a declarations page, or discovery, and we point you to those steps when they matter.
- We limit who sees case details. Requests are used to perform the service and are not shared beyond what is needed to do so. See the Privacy Policy.
- We keep pricing plain. Every search is quoted before work begins. See Pricing.
What to expect when you order
You send a request. We confirm we have what we need or ask for what is missing. You receive a report that states what we found and how sure we are of it. If something in the report looks wrong to you, tell us and we will look at it again. The steps are laid out on How it works.
Where we are
Trace Policy Limits is based in Cornelius, North Carolina, on the north side of Lake Norman and about 20 miles north of Charlotte. Most requests are handled by email and the request form, so location rarely matters to our clients. We work with firms across the United States.
