Asset Search for Attorneys

Public-record indicators of a defendant's property, vehicles and business interests, to help judge collectability early.

When an asset search is useful

When coverage is thin, the next question is what the defendant can pay. An asset search reviews public-record indicators of property, vehicles and business interests so you can judge collectability early, before you commit to expert costs and litigation. It pairs naturally with a policy limits search when the limits look low relative to the injuries.

What is reviewed

We look at public-record indicators such as real property, registered vehicles and business interests connected to the defendant. Send the defendant's full name and any known identifiers, last known addresses, the scope you need and your firm and case reference.

What it cannot tell you

An asset search shows indicators, not a complete picture of a person's finances. It does not value assets, confirm ownership interests that are not in the public record, or tell you whether an asset can actually be reached. We cannot obtain sensitive, protected or date-specific information that the law restricts.
